Consultation is available to those involved in making open space decisions.  This includes help with:
- Prioritizing open space acquisition
- Conducting inventories of existing open space
- Developing management strategies for parkland
- Developing habitat restoration plans
- Dealing with endangered species issues.

Research Yields Understanding:

Gathering high level scientific data, synthesizing it, and producing materials of practical use to land  conservators is at the heart of our mission. At present, we are involved in three major initiatives:
- Determining the minimum viable size of open space preserves for wildlife
- Developing a regional approach to open space and endangered species conservation
- Producing an atlas of the distribution and population of forest birds in southern New England.
